Visitor Experience of the Year Award
The Visitor experience of the year award is designed to encompass the local tourism and visitor industry and enables any business providing an exceptional “visitor experience” to nominate includeing, but not limited to, hospitality, accommodation, tour operators and attractions. The prize for this category includes;
$1500 split in three for: Excellence in Tourism Hospitality, Excellence in Tourism Accommodation, Excellence in Tourism Attractions & Festivals.
The awards are a great opportunity for local businesses to obtain recognition for excellence in supporting the visitor economy in our region. The winner will also receive a personalised plaque courtesy of Tourism Greater Shepparton and Greater Shepparton City Council.
Judging Criteria
Nominations for this award are received from happy customers who have enjoyed an exceptional “visitor experience” whilst visiting the nominee’s premises.

Apprentice/Trainee of the Year Award
The Apprentice/trainee of the year award recognises the overall performance in training, approach and skills growth.
Winner will receive a prize of $1500 courtesy of GOTAFE and a personalised plaque.
Judging Criteria
An apprentice or trainee can be nominated in various ways – by their employer, their training facilitator work colleague and/or their customers.
Nominees for these awards are judged during an interview process, on a set criteria which includes their job performance, personal qualities, planning and goal setting.

GV Healthy Workplace of Year Award
This award recognises employers and employees, together with a supportive workplace environment, work in partnership to create and sustain good health.
The winner will receive a prize of $1500 courtesy of GV Health, together with a personalised plaque.
Judging Criteria
This award recognises where employers and employees, together with a supportive workplace environment, work in partnership to create and sustain good health.
Jusgement will be based on workplaces showing they provide health and wellbeing strategies, healthy workplace strategies and mental health and healthy employee morale.

Hall of Fame
A business will be selected by the Shepparton Chamber of Commerce & Industry in recognition of outstanding Customer Service and Business Excellence as a Chamber Member since joining and being a continuous member over a period of years.
Ther winner will receive a perpetual trophy and framed Hall of Fame certificate.
Best New Business under 2 Years
The best new business award is presented to a new business which has been in operation for less than 2 years. This award recognises operators new to business who have demonstrated good business practice in starting, setting up, and growing their business for success.
The Winner will be awarded a $1500 prize courtesy of The Greater Shepparton Business Centre.
Each winner will also receive a personalised plaque.

Best Marketing/Advertising Campaign
The Best Marketing/Advertising award is a category to encourage creative and effective marketing. This award recognises business achievements in reaching rural and regional consumers with modern and traditional marketing techniques.
The Marketing/Advertising winner will receive a $1500 voucher for marketing courtesy of Shepparton Show Me. The winner will also receive a personalised plaque.
Businessesd will have been nominated for this award by others. This award recognises business achievements in reaching rural & regional customers with modern and traditional marketing techniques.
Judging is based on creativity, originality and strategy of nominated advertising or marketing campaign with additional points for inclusion of social media.
